About MOUVE by Dancing with Louise
MOUVE® by Dancing with Louise has been running children's dance classes across Hendon and North London since 2001, founded by Louise Leach, a dancer trained at ISTD and LAMDA. What started as a single class has grown into a school of over 1,000 students across 80+ weekly classes.
Classes run in age-banded programmes from toddlers to teens — My First Mouves and Talented Tots (2–4), Mini Mouvers (3–6), Junior Mouvers (7–11) and the Teen Programme (13+) — alongside a Ladies Fitness class for adults. Styles taught include ballet, hip hop, street dance, contemporary, jazz and zumba.
A Confidence-First Approach, Taught by West End-Trained Professionals
MOUVE describes its ethos as “confidence-first” — the belief that how a child feels in class matters as much as what they learn. Every teacher is a DBS-checked, first-aid trained professional dancer, several with West End credits, and classes culminate in an annual show performed on a professional theatre stage.
The main site runs from St Mary's and St John's CE School in Hendon, with further classes at Mill Hill East and Hampstead Garden Suburb, and school clubs reaching families across Finchley, Golders Green, Barnet and Edgware. A free trial class is available for new starters.
