London School of Flamenco

The London School of Flamenco has been the largest flamenco school in London since its establishment in 1990. Located in Islington, it offers a wide range of classes for students aged 4 to over 60 years old.

Classes include various levels of flamenco, such as Beginners Technique & Choreography and Intermediate Technique & Choreography. The school hosts over 15 weekly classes, intensive courses, and workshops, catering to both children and adults.

Students at the school benefit from live musicians accompanying their classes. The school also organizes events and performances to showcase student progress and provides opportunities for students to participate in showcases across London.

London School of Flamenco regularly hosts guest artists. Recent examples include a Saturday bulerías masterclass at 13c Amwell Street and a four-day Easter intensive at City Academy, Herbal Hill, with technique, choreography, bata de cola, bulerías, cajón and rhythm, and castanets at levels from elementary to advanced. Summer intensives run over three to five days on a similar format. For first-timers there is a two-hour “Try Flamenco Dance” workshop.
