About Studio Wayne McGregor
Studio Wayne McGregor was established in 2017 at Here East in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, Hackney. The studio serves as a creative space for both Wayne McGregor and his Company of dancers, as well as for other artists.
The studio offers the FreeSpace programme, which provides artists with free access to studio space for creation, research, rehearsal, and collaboration. This initiative has engaged 100 artists and their teams, utilizing 4,500 hours of FreeSpace.
FreeSpace Programme Supporting Artist Development and Community Engagement
In exchange for the studio space, artists may contribute by leading engagement projects in local schools and communities. This programme aims to foster innovation and share skills among participants.
